Our lunch meeting on Building Information Modeling was a great success. Thank you to the engineering students of IUPUI for arranging the meeting space. The BIM process continues to be one of growing importance in our industry as we look to reduce operating and construction costs.
We are nearing the end of our monthly meetings before we break for the summer. We continue to see our attendance grow for the meetings. Thank you for helping us to spread the word about ASHRAE and its importance. Some of you have also suggested topics for next year which is greatly appreciated, as well. For April's meeting, we will visit the Indiana State Fairgrounds to tour a Coliseum, one of the more challenging venues to design and control. I hope you will come out and learn about this venue which has a lot of history. Feel free to bring your spouse or significant other to this event! This would be a great opportunity to learn more about ASHRAE's role in our industry.
Are you thinking of joining ASHRAE, but still have some questions? Feel free to email the board at email@example.com or join us for one of the monthly meetings to get your questions answered.
Reminder to everyone, that you or an industry contact curious about ASHRAE can come to one of our monthly meetings as our guest at no charge for your first meeting attendance if you haven’t attended before (or within the last few years). I encourage you to join ASHRAE to begin accessing the broad resources available to you online or thru our local chapter. Each meeting offers PDH’s credits applicable toward continuing education requirements. Visit www.ashrae.org and click on the blue link at the top of the webpage or contact our Membership Promotion Chair, Mike Jamieson at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
See you at the Fairgrounds!
