PRESIDENTS MESSAGE
Greetings,
We are wrapping up our calendar year (2011-2012) and I am writing my last message. We had quite a year! I would like to thank the board members, chairpersons, members, and volunteers for all of their work. I really appreciate all of the time and effort everyone put in for the success of this past year!
We have one more meeting on Tuesday, May 8th. This meeting will be a luncheon at the Marten House. Our speaker will be Mike Carson from Purdue University. He will be speaking on ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2010. Additional information about the meeting is detailed earlier in this newsletter. One PDH will be issued for attending this meeting. Also at this meeting, we will be holding elections for next calendar year 2012-2013.
We hope that many of you were able to catch the webcast on dedicated outdoor air systems on April 19th. The Trane Company was kind enough to open their training room for this event.
USGBC will be meeting here in Indianapolis at the Convention Center on May 16-18 for the 9th regional conference “Greening the Heartland”. You can access additional information from http://www.greeningtheheartland.org website.
As part of YEA (Young Engineers in ASHRAE), a mentoring survey was sent out to all of our members. If you did not receive this survey please let me know. The survey has about 15 questions and will take 5 minutes so please take a moment and fill out the survey.
Please visit our website www.indyashrae.org for additional information on all the above items.
As a reminder, all meeting attendees will receive PDH’s for Indiana’s required continuing education credits for professional engineers. July 2012 renewal will require 30 PDH’s to renew your license. Two items are required to renew your license included in the 30 PDH’s. One hour for ethics and one hour for rules and regulations.
Please support your local chapter, and if you have any questions or comments please give me a call or e-mail at jkibort@hydstm.com, or visit our website at www.indyashrae.org.
Sincerely,
Jack J. Kibort
